The Wythe is very much so in the spirit of new-wave Williamsburg – from the loft design to the open windows that, simply put, provide you with excellent photo opportunities. And right next door is a brewery – that’s pretty Brooklyn, if you ask me.

It’s a bit more intimate in space than the other hotels mentioned, but they know what they’re doing. They’re not trying to compete for your time, but more or less provide you with a beautiful space to stay, some great bites, and a rooftop bar that’s not too shabby either.

The Ides, serving delicious cocktails and small plates, is a rooftop bar in the Wythe. It often reaches capacity by 11pm so you'll want to venture up earlier - though reservations are always a solid idea.

The design of the Wythe really focused on keeping in the tone of Williamsburg and where it saw what the neighborhood evolve to in the coming years. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel is how natural light plays such an impact in every room.

New York by nature can be quite dim, shady even, given all the buildings or time of year. Though that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's a mood for sure - just go with it. And the rooms play that up to embrace that mood - a relaxing balance of cozy with comfortable light.
