Get the full-on experience of living like a local in this humble home located in the Hanoi Old Quarter. With secoin cement tiles and traditional Indo-Chinese furniture, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time.

This one is for you If you want to live like a Hanoian in a local neighbor-hood. Even locals such as myself will sometimes book a homestay in my own city so as to experience living in a different neighbourhood. This is one of my go-tos.

You won’t regret giving up a little luxury, because you’ll get to meet other travellers like yourself and locals like me here!

A quaint little balcony covered in green plants. Set your coffee and some bread atop and take in the local street view.

A lovely kitchen. If you’re tired of junk food or street food (gasp!), you can prepare your own meals and serve them on the beautiful tableware.

The bright interiors of the hotel contrasted with rustic-looking coloured win-dows as walls. This will bring you back in time to the olden days. Truly an au-thentic traditional Hanoian experience.

Breakfast at home. If you stay here, I would recommend you take out some banh mi from around the neighbourhood to have in the comfort of home. It’s a Vietnamese sandwich bread. Pair it with some tea for the perfect morning combo.
